Why I built Stay at Zero

I’ve been intermittent fasting since 2018. I tried several free apps — none had the combination I cared about: ease and speed of use, plus access across devices, without constantly reaching for the phone.

Some came close, but I moved on. Sometimes after one paywall “buy Pro” modal too many. Other times in a thicket of extras, where the team running the app had long forgotten what it was actually for.

So if your focus would be a “healthy lifestyle” stack, meal plans, calorie counting, or hydration — and that genuinely matters to you — stay with another product that delivers it. Yes, I’ll admit: the app’s name can be considered rather tongue-in-cheek.

What matters to me is zero stress in daily use and zero unwanted extra kilos. That should stay at zero. And it does. I designed it that way — keeping what works, dropping what from my perspective would be unnecessary — so a rich free core still feels simple to use.

As for a paid version: I don’t rule it out — if I find a feature that is important and unique enough to justify the cost. I won’t claim this is a perfect product as it stands — those don’t exist — but it’s the best intermittent fasting app for me. I think it can be that for you too. If you have a good idea for where it should go next, or for working together, get in touch. You’ll find the contact link in the footer.
